Why windows 7 writes without internet access. Unidentified network: the correct way to fix the problem

Every user of the global network sooner or later is faced with the problem of accessing the network. There are many reasons, both software and hardware, for which access to the network suddenly stops. In this article, we will consider such a common Windows error as “Unidentified network without Internet access”.

Why are we seeing this message?

Any difficulty regarding the Internet and any network in general can arise for one of two main reasons - the fault of the network equipment or the fault of the software. An error like "Unrecognized network without Internet access" usually results from malfunctions of the computer software or communication devices. This can include actions of malicious programs that block the network, incorrect settings of network services operating system, PC network equipment or external communication devices (wired or Wi-Fi router, modem or even provider equipment).

This message means that in this moment the computer has a connection to some kind of network, but does not have access to the world wide web. An existing network is a connection, for example, through a wired router or another computer, WiFi networks, as well as to the provider's equipment (if the computer or laptop is connected to the Internet via a cable coming into the room).

We will try to figure out why this is happening, as well as provide solutions for what to do in a similar situation.

ISP-related problems

If the PC is connected via a network cable coming into the room from the outside, then access to the global network is most likely blocked due to the fault of the provider. The reason may be a situation with equipment malfunctions on the provider's side - a short-term failure in operation, incorrect settings of the concentrator, lack of communication between the equipment and the provider's server (possibly due to a broken cable connection). But in such cases, there is nothing left to do other than how to expect troubleshooting from the provider side.

A similar problem can occur due to the blocking of Internet access by the provider due to the expiration of the subscription fee or the deliberate termination of the provision of services (this happens, for example, in the case of DDoS attacks on the server from the client's computer). The last case of disconnection is, of course, very rare, but still possible.

In the last two cases, the laptop will also be connected to the network (provider equipment), but also without access to the World Wide Web. That is why Windows writes to the user "Unidentified network without Internet access."

Network settings

If there is accurate information about the operability of the provider's equipment and about the absence of blocking on its part, then the problem most likely lies in communication devices (for example, a Wi-Fi router), local network settings or in the settings of the OS itself. All this can be checked directly from the computer.

If in your case a wired or WiFi router is used as a communication device, the problem may be hidden in the incorrect settings of the ipv4 protocol. You can fix them as follows (further actions are recommended in any case, especially if the Internet is accessed via a local network through a router):

Now your laptop or computer should display information about a successful connection to the network. If there is an Internet connection, Windows will write in the "Network Control Center ..." section in the "Access Type" item - "Internet".

But what if Windows continues to report the lack of connection? Open the IPv4 properties window again, and change the value "0" in all fields to "1", as here:

The last step should be done for cases when the standard factory address of the wired or Wi-Fi router is different from "192.168.0.1". If this address was changed by you or other users on your own, we recommend finding it and registering the necessary data in the IPv4 properties.

For example, if your Wi-Fi router that connects to a PC via a local network has an IP address "192.168.1.55", then in the IPv4 settings in the "IP address" section, you must specify, for example, 192.168.1.10, and in "Default gateway" and "Preferred DNS server" change the last two digits to 1 and 55, respectively.

The laptop still says "No network access"? Then the Internet disappeared, most likely due to the settings of the wired or Wi-Fi router. But there is also the possibility that your laptop is having difficulty connecting due to a failure in the system's network settings. It can be fixed.

Reset network settings

If the PC writes a message about the absence of the Internet due to a failure of network parameters, then they can be returned to their original state by performing a few simple steps:

Windows also writes a message about the lack of access to the World Wide Web if the wired or Wi-Fi router has incorrect settings. There is a similar problem in the case when the laptop is connected to the Internet directly via a cable. If you have suspicions about this particular account, then there is nothing left to do, except how to call a specialist to set up your computer (but, most likely, you will have to configure a Wi-Fi router).

The difficulty of describing this problem within the framework of one article lies in the fact that the provider can provide access to the network using one of several communication technologies - for example, ADSL or VPN. To connect a laptop or computer to the Internet, it is necessary to ask the provider for the data for the settings, which, in most cases, are individual for each user and case. But to describe all of them is laborious, so in such situations it is better to turn to specialists.

Hello.

Without a different kind Windows errors probably would be really boring ?!

With one of them I no, no, and I have to deal with. The essence of the error is as follows: access to the network is lost and a message appears in the tray next to the clock "Unidentified network without internet access"... Most often it appears when the network settings get lost (or changed): for example, when changing the settings at your provider or when updating (reinstalling) Windows, etc.

To fix such an error, most often, you just need to correctly set the connection settings (IP, mask and default gateway). But first things first…

By the way, the article is relevant for modern Windows operating systems: 7, 8, 8.1, 10.

How to fix the error "Unidentified network without Internet access" - step-by-step recommendations

Rice. 1 Typical error message ...

Have your ISP's settings for network access changed? This is the first question that I recommend asking your ISP when you have:

  • did not install updates on Windows (and there were no notifications that they are being installed: when you restart Windows);
  • did not reinstall Windows;
  • did not change network settings (including did not use various "tweakers");
  • did not change the network card or router (including a modem).

1) Checking network connection settings

The fact is that sometimes Windows is not able to correctly determine the IP address (and other parameters) for accessing the network. As a result, you see a similar error.

Before setting the settings, you need to know:

  • The IP address of the router, most often it is: 192.168.0.1 or 192.168.1.1 or 192.168.10.1 / password and login admin (but the easiest way to find out is by looking at the manual for the router, or a sticker on the device's case (if there is one). Perhaps an article on how to enter the settings of the router will help :);
  • if you do not have a router, then find the network settings in the agreement with the Internet provider (for some providers, until you specify the correct IP and subnet mask, the network will not work).

Rice. 2 From the TL-WR841N Router Configuration Guide ...

Now, knowing the IP address of the router, you need to change the settings in Windows.

  1. To do this go to panel Windows management , then to section Network and Sharing Center.
  2. Then go to the tab “ Change adapter settings", Then select your adapter from the list (through which the connection is made: if connected via Wi-Fi - then wireless connection, if cable connection - then Ethernet) and go to its properties (see fig. 3).
  3. In adapter properties go to properties " Internet Protocol Version 4 (TCP / IPv4)"(See fig. 3).

Now you need to set the following settings (see Fig. 4):

  1. IP address: specify the next IP after the router address (for example, if the router has IP 192.168.1.1 - then indicate 192.168.1.2, if the router has IP 192.168.0.1 - then indicate 192.168.0.2);
  2. Subnet mask: 255.255.255.0;
  3. Default gateway: 192.168.1.1;
  4. Preferred DNS Server: 192.168.1.1.

Rice. 4 Properties - Internet Protocol Version 4 (TCP / IPv4)

After saving the settings, the network should start working. If this does not happen, then most likely there is a problem with the settings of the router (or provider).

2) Configuring the router

2.1) MAC address

Many ISPs bind to the MAC address (for added security). If you change the MAC address, you will not be able to connect to the network; the error discussed in this article is also quite possible.

The MAC address changes when you change equipment: for example, a network card, a router, etc. In order not to guess, I recommend finding out the MAC address of the old network card through which the Internet worked for you, and then set it in the router settings (very often the Internet stops working after installing a new router in the house).

Rice. 5 Configuring a Dlink router: cloning a MAC address

2.2) Configuring Initial IP Issuance

In the first step of this article, we set the basic connection parameters in Windows. Sometimes, the router may display " wrong IP addresses“That were indicated by us.

If your network still does not work, I recommend going into the settings of the router and configuring the initial IP address in the local network (of course the one that we indicated in the first step of the article).

3) Problems with drivers ...

Due to problems with the drivers, any errors are not excluded, including unidentified network... To check the status of the driver, I recommend going to Device Manager (to launch it, go to the Windows control panel, switch the view to small icons and follow the link of the same name).

In the device manager, you need to open the tab " network adapters»And see if there are any devices with yellow exclamation marks. Update the driver if necessary.

That's all for me. By the way, sometimes a similar error occurs due to the inexplicable operation of the router - either it freezes or gets lost. Sometimes a simple reboot of the router can easily and quickly fix a similar error with an unknown network.

Best wishes!

Sometimes the Internet connection may be absent and a message is displayed in the tray: “Unidentified network without Internet access”. The problem can arise for various reasons. The article below explains in detail what you need to do to fix these issues.

Very often this happens when the owner of the PC configures access to the Network or Wi-Fi router and everything is reset. An Internet service provider or personal computer is blamed for the incident, for example, when a reinstallation of the Windows system is performed.

It looks like this. There is no Internet connection, sites do not load normally. In the lower right corner, near the time, a yellow icon is displayed, and an exclamation mark is located inside it. By clicking on the icon, the message text will appear. When access to the Network is configured through a router, the text of the message will be slightly different: "No Internet connection, protected."

Note! There are many reasons for this problem. And not all of them can be eliminated easily and in a few minutes, but it's worth a try.

Reasons for the message

To understand the origin of such a problem, you need to check and find out if other devices can work through the router. If home network on the other PC is functioning properly, so it’s not a matter of the provider. If not, then there are two possible scenarios for the development of events:

  • there is a notification "Without access to the Internet", an unidentified network is not in the list of connections;
  • the entire alert is displayed.

Note! The first option indicates that the problem arose due to the Internet service provider, the second indicates problems from the router.

If the problem is caused internally, you can try the following:

  • Reboot the device that generates such a notification. It should be a restart, not a complete shutdown and turn on the device again.
  • The router needs to be rebooted if it is being used to find a network. To do this, it is recommended to disconnect it from the network, wait about 10 seconds, then reconnect it.
  • The device may stop connecting to the network after manipulations such as updating the system, resetting and reinstalling with data saving, setting up a new antivirus program downloaded from an unknown source. Then you can try to turn it off for a while. The same situation can appear when using third-party VPN software. But then it will be necessary to delete them for a while in order to check if this is the reason.

Below is information about the reasons for the appearance of an unidentified network without Internet access Win 7 and what to do about problems. But it will be difficult for a beginner to correct situations without owning additional information and skills, but you can try.

Troubleshooting if the connection is direct

There are several options for what to do in case of an "Unrecognized network without Internet access" error for Windows 7.

Invalid IPv4 values

In this case, the network address cannot be obtained by the type of system, since it is specified incorrectly.

Note! As a rule, this is accompanied by a suspiciously long identification time during the next connection to the Internet. In this case, the owner of the PC could not change the data in the settings of his device. A malicious program can restrict access to the Internet.

To get everything set up, you need:

  1. Go to the section "Control Panel", followed by the item "Network and Sharing Center", where to find the button "Change adapter settings" and click on it.
  2. Then you should find among the proposed connections "Unidentified network" and click the mouse. Select "Properties" in the drop-down menu.
  3. There click on the section "Internet Protocol version 4 TCP / IPv4", where just below click on the "Properties" menu.
  4. It remains to check the status of receiving the automatic IP and DNS server address (but only if the network is not a corporate one), it should be active. Or analyze the correctness configurations if the connection is made through a router and the provider requires you to specify them.

Note! You can also try manually configuring other settings. For example, change the IP type by changing the last digit. However, it is not recommended to use numbers close to one. In the field of the default gateway, it is important to enter the address of the router, specify the DNS addresses of Google with the addresses of the DNS servers. The preferred DNS server is 8.8.8.8, the alternative is 8.8.4.4. It is also advisable to clear the DNS cache.

When something changes, you will need to click on "Save". If this was the cause of the problem, Internet access should resume.

TCP / IP problem

A TCP / IP problem means there is a software violation in the Internet Protocol. To eliminate them, you can reset the TCP / IP settings.

To do this, you should:

  1. Open command prompt as administrator. To carry out these actions, select the "Start" button, enter " Command line", Right-click on it and select" Run as administrator ".
  2. Enter the text there: netsh int ip reset resetlog.txt and press the Enter key.

There is another way - to enter sequentially the commands below:

  • Netsh int ip reset;
  • Ipconfig / release;
  • Ipconfig / renew.

The reason is DHCP

The Internet may be lost for this reason when the Internet connection cable is used for the first time. This is due to the fact that the PC cannot get the network address.

Note! To solve this problem, you need to set the Network Address for the used network adapter.

  1. Open the "Network adapters" folder, select the "Properties" tab of that network Wi-Fi adapter or card that is usually used by clicking on its icon with the mouse.
  2. Select the "Additional" tab.
  3. Find "Network Address" (it can be represented as Network Address), where you should specify a 12-digit number. In this case, you can use any numbers and letters of the English alphabet from A to F.
  4. Confirm the changes by clicking OK.
  5. Restart your computer for the changes to take effect.

At the end, it remains to write in the command line:

  • Ipconfig / release;
  • Ipconfig / renew.

Solutionproblems connecting through a router

The three most common causes of a problem with a network configured through a router.

Provider wines

Perhaps, most often, an unidentified network appears precisely because of the incorrect operation of the provider. In this case, the user usually did nothing the day before: settings were not changed, drivers were not updated, Windows was not reinstalled. Five minutes ago, everything worked and suddenly stopped.

Note! There is only one solution to the problem - to wait for everything to work out by itself. But it is important to make sure that the failure is on the provider's side.

To do this, you should:

  • call on hotline provider;
  • try connecting another computer, laptop or netbook to the cable. If the provider is to blame, then the network will not work on any of the devices.

When the local Ethernet connection is not configured correctly

In this case, you need:

  1. Visit the "Control Panel" section by clicking "Start".
  2. Find "Network and Sharing Center".
  3. Then click "Change adapter parameters".
  4. Select the required local area network connection and open the "Properties" tab.
  5. From the menu that appears on the screen, select "Internet Protocol Version 4 TCP / IPv4".

What needs to be changed there is discussed above in the Invalid IPv4 Settings section.

Drivers for the network card have flown

It often happens that an unidentified network appears after reinstalling Windows. In particular, this applies to laptops. At the same time, the device manager displays information that all the necessary drivers have already been installed, but there is still no Internet access. Then you need to download the drivers from the official source - the website of the company that made the laptop or motherboard, or the company of the network or wireless adapter.

Important! These drivers need to be installed manually, although Device Manager shows that they do not need to be updated.

Thus, the reasons for the appearance of the message about an unidentified network without Internet access, as well as the ways to eliminate them, can be different. One of them should definitely help. The main thing is to understand everything carefully.

The Internet is an integral part of our life - it is an excellent assistant in work, an indispensable tool in learning, moreover, it is a means of communication and recreation. Connectivity issues are common among users. Let's look at the most common error in this article - IPv4 without Internet access and how to fix it? If Windows has given you this alert, then you should use the method of exclusion to enumerate all the options in order to find out what caused the occurrence.

Ipv4 is the Internet Protocol, I think it does not need translation, and the protocol version is the fourth. You probably noticed the presence of the IPv6 protocol in the settings - this is also the Internet protocol, but already the sixth version, only a few providers use it. The most widespread and mainstream today is IPv4. The main task of the IPv4 protocol is to ensure the functioning of the computer and networks according to the established rules for the exchange of data packets. So, the interaction takes place between the communication node and the IP address of the machine, IPv4 is a low-level protocol.

If the terminology causes you difficulties, then we additionally recommend that you familiarize yourself with our other article,

In order to correct the access problem accurately and as quickly as possible, we will consider the cause and the method of its elimination.

Reboot: reboot will fix the error

It is not for nothing that the well-known proverb in the circles of IT specialists has taken a new form and sounds like: "Seven troubles - one reset". In our case, reset is a last resort to fix the error. Terms:

  • reset - or rollback to the last successful version;
  • reboot - reboot, in other words, complete unloading and loading of the operating system;
  • restart - restart.

Let's start correcting the situation.

  1. Restart your computer (do not turn off and on!). This is sometimes a very effective method to fix the problem.
  2. 99% of users use routers and routers, since there is more than one device with Internet access in the house - restart the router / router.
  3. Try to suspend or completely disable the antivirus, for various reasons, blocking occurs because of it. If everything works, reinstall the antivirus and you may need to update the program module.
  4. Analyze what changes were made to the system before the IPv4 error occurred without network access. Try to roll back the installation / configuration of the program / utility, etc., if this corrected the situation, then the reason is precisely in the changes made earlier.

Small experiments ...

Did the above steps fail to fix it? Going further, it is necessary to exclude the possibility of a problem on the side of the provider, namely, to check whether the Internet works on other devices.

  1. Check the other device for network access. If everything is working on that device, and there is no IPv4 error without network access, then the problem is with the computer. This can be either a software error or a physical malfunction. We will consider the software error in more detail below, and the physical error can be from a detached network cable (patchcourt) to a breakdown of the network card.
  2. If the machine is directly connected without the participation of a router, and an IPv4 error occurs without access to the network, try connecting another computer / laptop instead. Again, depending on whether it works or not, we check the physical condition and then move on to software solutions.
  3. If the network does not work on any of the devices connected by any of the methods, call the technical support of your provider for explanations and do not forget to voice that Windows displays the message "IPv4 without Internet access". They should help fix it.
  4. Probably, it will sound trite and even a little funny, but if our smaller brothers live at home, check the integrity of the cables, damage is possible, which was the above error - IPv4 without access to the network.

Behold at the root ...

After eliminating a number of simple reasons, in order to fix the problem, let's move on to the most important ones. The World Wide Web does not work, and the operating system gives an error: IPv4 without Internet access. So let's start in order.

Internet settings: provider and router

Of course, the simplest thing is to call the provider and clarify everything with him, having previously said about the error - IPv4 without access to the Internet. Perhaps a specialist will advise how to fix it. First, you need to look into the settings of your router and check whether the data has been entered correctly. Let's see what the IPv4 error without internet access looks like. Regardless of the connection made via Wi-Fi or using a network cable - a yellow exclamation mark will appear.

I would like to make a reservation that the fix for the problem with the IPv4 name without network access is the same for different connections, and Windows versions from 7 to 10. To fix, you must first find out the cause of the IPv4 error without Internet access.
Go to the "Network and Sharing Center" - using any of the 2 methods:

1 way

 right-click (hereinafter RMB) click on the connection sign with a yellow exclamation mark → select "Network and Sharing Center" → note that the "Access type" says "No Internet access" → select "Change adapter settings" → find your connection;

2 way

Once you get to the right directory:

  • Windows Networks Diagnostics will start - wait until it finishes and, as a result, detects problems, as well as tips on how to fix them.

  • diagnostics have determined that this is the main cause of the IPv4 error without access to the Internet;

  • to fix it, go to the window "Status - Ethernet" or "Status - Wireless network connection" - in the above way;
  • select "Properties" → select "Internet Protocol Version 4 (TCP / IPv4)" → "Properties".

    In the window that opens, you must specify the type of IP address and DNS. Let's describe all the possible options for how to fix the IPv4 problem without Internet access.

Static IP and DNS

Is the home network configured in such a way that each device has its own and access is carried out with the indication of DNS? To accurately specify the settings and fix the IPv4 error without access to the Internet, go to your router, we show it using the Asus router as an example.

  • the address of the settings page is available at the address "192.168.1.1" - we enter without quotes in the address bar of the browser → → authentication is required, as a rule the login and password are "Admin", you can also log in without specifying a password;

  • go to the section "LAN" → "IP - LAN address" → the specified IP - address is the main gateway;

  • then go to the section "DHCP - server" - here you can see the initial and final pool of addresses, as well as a list of those already assigned by the MAC - address of the device. MAC - address is a unique serial number of a network card. Find the device you want and remember / write it down.
    Dynamic IP address

    It so happens that everything is configured correctly, but a DNS server error occurs and the system issues a message - IPv4 without access to the network. This is due to an overload or an error in the operation of the DNS servers on the provider's side. Moreover, in the router you can see that the Internet reaches you. In this case, alternative DNS from Google that are public. So:

    With such a simple method, you can fix the arising IPv4 connection error.

    Stable connection!

Windows users are fairly familiar with network problems. Among them is one of the favorite "unidentified network" aka "Network without Internet access". This is due constant updating network status in these operating systems. So, if there is any problem with the connection to the network, a corresponding message is displayed on the screen and an exclamation mark warning about failures is displayed in a yellow triangle.
In order to solve this problem, you need to go to the network settings. For this:
1. Right-click on the exclamation mark icon.

2. Select from the drop-down list "View active networks"
3. If you have the error "Unidentified network without access to the Internet", then, most likely, there is a problem with the IP address of the computer itself, to check it, you must select an active network connection, right-click and, in the list that opens, select "Status" and in the window, click the "Properties" button. The window will display information about your IP address and subnet mask. They need to be written out.

4. To check the correspondence of the IP addresses, you need to take the router, turn it over (its IP address, username and password are indicated there).

5. Next, right-click again on the active network, but now select the "Properties" item.
6. In the window that opens, select "Internet Protocol Version 4 (TCP / IPv4)" and click "Properties".
7. The "Protocol Properties" window demonstrates the basic settings, due to which the most likely problems have arisen, for elimination you need to enter the following data (according to this example):

Try restarting your router

This is an option for those who previously had a connection established normally, everything worked, and then suddenly a seemingly familiar and "verified" connection writes "Unidentified network".

Perhaps some of the settings of the router itself are lost. They can recover again when they reconnect. To do this, simply unplug the router and then reinsert it.

In addition, you need to check if there is a direct connection via cable. It is possible that the root of the problem lies with the ISP. Did not help? Then let's move on.

Check your settings wireless connection on the computer

If you have already rebooted the router, but the inscription “Unrecognized network. Without Internet access ”has not disappeared, the reason may lie in the incorrect settings of the wireless adapter or the network itself on the computer.

Problems with IP addresses are common, for example when the system is unable to obtain it automatically. If you registered them manually, then, most likely, the specified address is incorrect, or the subnet has been changed.

In this case, you need to check the adapter settings in the "Network and Sharing Center". In the window that appears, you need to select the connection that you are using, right-click on its icon and select the "Status" item. The "Connection status" window will be displayed on the screen. This is what we need. If the “IPv4 address” item contains an address of the 169.254.X.X format, then the system could not automatically obtain an IP address using the DHCP server of the router.

First of all, in this case, it makes sense to try to register it manually. On the bottom of the router, as a rule, there is a sticker indicating the model and brand of the device. On it, you can also see its IP address, as well as data for accessing the web interface (login and password).

Right-click on the network connection icon again, but this time select the "Properties" item. Then you need to select the component "Internet Protocol Version 4 (TCP / IPv4)", put a dot in the new window next to "Use ...".

Typical router settings

For most routers (with the exception of "D-Link" routers), the following settings should be suitable:

If an unidentified network without access appears when working with a "D-Link" router, use other settings:

Correct the router settings

Many people, in order to configure a router, exactly duplicate the settings indicated as an example on the network. And often this is what leads to the fact that the computer subsequently displays the message “Unidentified network. Without Internet access ”.

The examples exist only so that users can understand which item of which section of the device menu is responsible for what. You must write your own settings, and not those indicated in the example. It so happens that the settings shown as an example are the same as yours. If this is not the case, it becomes difficult to gain access to the network.

Double-check your username and password. If you missed a character, chose the wrong case or input language, the Internet will not be available. Also, an unidentified WiFi network may appear due to an incorrectly selected connection type.

When setting up the modem, be sure to use your settings, and not those offered in other people's examples, then everything will work out.

Update your drivers

Outdated or non-working network adapter drivers are also often the reason that a computer or laptop, when trying to connect to the Internet, receives only limited access... The unrecognized network will be able to identify normally when you fix this problem.

Important! The drivers that the Windows operating system installs on its own do not always work adequately. A much more reliable option is to download the appropriate software directly from the website of your router manufacturer.

Change the MAC address

You did everything that is described above, but an unidentified network without access to the Internet remained, and you do not observe any signs of life from the side of the connection?

The problem may be related to the incorrect MAC address of the device. However, this is only relevant in cases where all devices connected to the same network are working normally and have access to the Internet, and only one computer or laptop has problems.

The trick is that manufacturers often assign the same MAC address to all boards. If you reinstalled the drivers from the disk that came with the motherboard, two devices with the same MAC address may appear on the network. Is this your case? Then you should try to register it manually.

Press the key combination Win + R, and then in the "Run" window, write the command devmgmt.msc. This opens the Windows Device Manager. This must be done on behalf of a user with administrator rights. In the manager, we need to find the item "Network adapters". In the drop-down list, you will see the name of the device with which the computer connects to the Internet. Click on the adapter icon twice, in the window that appears, select the "Advanced" item. We need a "Network Address". Opposite an empty field, check the box, then enter 12 numbers in this field, click "OK" and restart the computer.

Check the firewall

Incorrect firewall settings are another common reason why a computer or laptop gives the error “Unrecognized network. Without Internet access ”.

If the firewall is configured correctly, it will suppress attempts of unauthorized penetration into the network from the outside and prevent malicious actions. However, sometimes it blocks all data streams altogether.

Check the IP addresses that the firewall does not give access to the Internet, among them the address of your device should not be present. It is better to register the entire list of IPs that should be blocked by yourself, it takes a little time, but there will be no risk that your computer will be accidentally included in the list of prohibited devices.

And one more thing 1. You can perform a full reset of the network connections settings, then re-configure the settings: Press Win + X and enter the commands below one by one:
"netsh int ip reset"

"netsh winsock reset"

"ipconfig / flushdns"

2. You can also change some parameters using the editor group policy... Press Win + R and type "gpedit.msc" without quotes. Open Computer Configuration - Windows Configuration - Security Settings - Network List Manager Policies.

Unidentified network with access type - No Internet access.

Most often this occurs after reinstalling the operating room. Windows systems and means that there is a connection to the network at the physical and data link levels, but at the network level it is no longer there. In simple terms, there is a problem with the IP address - most likely the system cannot get it dynamically. If your IP-address is registered manually, then it is probably either registered incorrectly, or the subnet has changed.

We select a network connection (local network or wireless) through which we are connected and right-click on it and in context menu select the item "State"

In the opened connection status window, click the "Details" button. In the Network Connection Information, look at the "IP Address (IPv4 Address)" field. If an address from the subnet 169.254.X.X is indicated there, this means that the system could not obtain an IP address automatically using the DHCP server of the router. The most common cause is a router malfunction or incorrect port grouping. What to do now?

First of all, let's try to register the IP address manually. To do this, first turn the router upside down. There should be a sticker indicating the brand and model of the router:

It should also contain the IP address of the router, as well as the login and password for access to the web interface.
Now we again click on the network connection with the right mouse button and select the "Properties" menu item:

In the "Connection Properties" window, select the "Internet Protocol Version 4 (TCP / IPv4)" component and double-click on it with the left mouse button. The Internet Protocol Version 4 Properties window opens. Here we tick the box "Use the following IP address" and write the addresses:
IP address - 192.168.1.2,
Subnet mask - 255.255.255.0,
The main gateway is 192.168.1.1,
The preferred DNS server is 192.168.1.1.

Alternatively, you can register Google or Yandex DNS servers: 8.8.8.8, 8.8.4.4 or 77.88.8.8.
Press the OK button, close the window and check the network access. After these steps, Internet access should appear. If this does not happen, most likely there are problems with the settings of your router, or further, already on the equipment of the provider.
Note: If you have D-Link router with the IP address 192.168.0.1, then the IP address must also be registered from the same subnet, for example - 192.168.0.2.

If the previous steps did not help, here is another way. But this method is worth trying only if you have several devices connected to the Internet and work without problems, and the difficulties are only on one computer or laptop. The thing is that sometimes problems with connecting to the network are associated with the MAC address of the network device - they usually arise after reinstalling the integrated network adapter driver, which most users install from the disk that comes with the motherboard. And the manufacturer of the boards, to speed up the technical process and unify, stupidly puts everyone the same MAC address. As a result, two devices with one MAC address may appear on the network. In this case, you should try to register the MAC address manually. To do this, press the WIN + R key combination and write the devmgmt.msc command in the Run window:

This will launch the Windows Device Manager. This must be done from under a user with Administrator rights.

In the task manager, look for the "Network adapters" section. In it, select the adapter through which the computer is connected and double-click on it with the left mouse button. In the window that opens, open the "Advanced" tab. We are interested in the "Network Address" parameter. We put a tick in front of an empty field and write 12 digits in this field. Since this field is in hexadecimal format, you can also write letters from A to F, but this is not necessary. Click OK, restart your computer and check.

The network is recognized, but no internet access is available.

This problem is especially common when connected via WiFi. At the same time, services such as Skype or ICQ can work. The point here is that when connected to the network, the system either cannot get the addresses of DNS servers, or it does, but for some reason they do not work. As a rule, there is only one solution - to register the addresses of DNS servers manually. To do this, right-click on the network connection, select the "Properties" menu item:

Select the component "Internet Protocol Version 4 (TCP / IPv4)" and double-click on it with the left mouse button. In the properties window that opens, put a checkmark "Use the following DNS server addresses" and in the fields of the Preferred and Alternative DNS servers, write the addresses of the public DNS servers Google and Yandex: 8.8.8.8, 8.8.4.4 or 77.88.8.8.

The most common case. Your computer sees the network and tries to work with it. And he physically succeeds. But in the network exchange device there are several levels of interaction (we read the OSI 7 levels model in Google). So, if your computer does not receive an IP address, then this error will fly out.

The "Identification" status may still hang for a long time before this - when your system is still trying to fetch itself the correct IP.

Why didn't he get an IP address? In ideal conditions, a router uses its DHCP server to distribute its own address to each connected device. But at some point, a failure may occur and the correct addresses (standard - 192.168.x.x) will not be issued. And the computer will try to do it itself and will return incorrect ones from the 169.254.x.x pool. In total, the computer and the router are physically connected (be it via an Ethernet cable or Wi-Fi), but they are virtually on different networks and do not see each other.

The reboot solution is very often helpful in this case. Another option is to manually set your network settings so that you never have this problem. But if you suddenly don’t understand this at all, it’s better not to meddle. There is a risk of doing something wrong.

For advanced users, I suggest the following instruction.

We remember the IP address of our router. If you don't know, look at the sticker on the bottom:

Through the "Network Control Center ..." (Windows 7) or "Network and Internet Settings" (Windows 10) we get into the adapter settings. Select your problem adapter, right-click, "Properties". And then as according to the scheme:

A bit of decryption. My router at home has the address 192.168.0.1. We enter it in the gateway field. The mask is always the same for everyone. But you can try to make the IP address by anyone, but the third digit (0) should be the same as on the router. "Eights" - we leave it as it is, these are DNS servers from Google, come in handy. Total:

IP address: 192.168.0.127
Mask: 255.255.255.0
Gateway: 192.168.0.1
DNS: 8.8.8.8
Alternative DNS: 8.8.4.4

After saving, everything should literally work right away. Try it. If it didn't work out, move on.

The problem "Without access to the network" is treated in the same way.

Just without internet access, the network is recognized
A slightly different case when the network seems to be recognized and even the Internet can be on some applications like Skype. But sites are not loaded point-blank. And in the type of access hangs "No access". As a solution, add alternative DNS from the previous section. In this case, the basic settings do not need to be changed. The output should look something like this:

Other options

Here I will list other options, if the first cases still did not help, but writes that the network is not recognized. Rather, something from this list will help too:

The provider has a problem. Especially if the connection is not through a router, but directly. If you have any doubts, just call your Provider and consult. It's free and often really helps, and often this is the only way to find out about problems on the side (from personal experience with native Rostelecom). Especially if everything worked smoothly the day before.
Try to share the problem right away - is there such a thing on other devices or is everything okay there? If the problem is general, then either the provider or the router is to blame. If only on one computer - the trouble is network settings, and they can be solved by the methods above.
Driver problem. Rarely, but aptly.

Literally several times during my entire working time, I encountered the problem that there are no problems with the driver in the Device Manager, but the device does not work correctly. This is especially evident in the automatic installation by the Windows driver itself. So if you have doubts about the iron part, try reinstalling everything using the same DRP.su.

Same MAC address. Another possible case. Less common, but still worth mentioning. The fact is that manufacturers can issue the same MAC addresses to some of their devices on the stream. At the exit, 2 devices, by coincidence, can compete for a place in the sun. Total - one has a connection, the other does not have access to the network. Those in the know can easily check the current MACs on all their devices and think about changing them (Device Manager or Technitium MAC Address Changer to help).

DHCP server on the router - if possible, go to the settings of the router and check if it works exactly and if the DHCP server we need is enabled there. Very rarely turns off.

My Internet sometimes disappears with this error for another interesting reason - there is a signal amplifier, and the laptop periodically reconnects from the router to it, choosing the best signal (relevant for a wireless network connection). As a result, the Internet disappears for some time, this status falls out. But everything is solved literally in seconds.

Another way.

We need to go to the router settings interface and set the range of IP addresses assigned by the router in automatic mode. Make sure that it does not include the PC's IP address, which we manually specified.

Type the URL - 192.168.1.1 in the browser line, go through the authorization and the administrator panel of the router will open in front of you.

There we need to find the "Local network" and go to the DHPC server configuration data.

In the "Initial address of the pool of IP addresses", enter an arbitrary address that follows the PC address set by us manually (192.168.1.2). At the end, click on the "Apply" button.

I entered these numbers - 192.168.1.5. Now the router automatically sets addresses for each device, starting from it.

If you do not know the IP address of the router, then take a look at it. As a rule, the manufacturer indicates at the bottom all the data about the device, including the IP address.

You can also find out the address of the device if you go to the information about connecting to the network:

We open the "Network Control Center and ...".
Click on the link with the text "Local Area Connection".
In the resulting window, pay attention to "Details".
internet information

In the text construction with the description "Default gateway", the device address is indicated.

Installing drivers

The problem analyzed in this article may also be caused by incorrect installation of drivers or installation of drivers not from the manufacturer of the network card or adapter. In this case, you need to reinstall them, without fail using only those that are officially provided by the device developer. Next, we will consider several options for action to achieve this goal. Let's start with a simple reinstallation.

Go to the "Control Panel" using the same steps as in the previous method. Go to the "System and Security" section.

Click on the name of the Device Manager tool in the System block.

The "Device Manager" interface will open. Click on the name of the "Network adapters" block.

A list of network adapters connected to this PC will open. Find in it the name of the adapter or network card through which you are trying to access the world wide web. Right-click on this element and select "Delete" from the drop-down list.

After that, a window will open where you need to click "OK" to confirm the action.

A procedure will start during which the device will be removed.
Now you need to reconnect it, thereby reinstalling the driver, which is required. To do this, click "Action" and select "Update configuration ...".

The hardware configuration will be updated, LAN card or the adapter will reconnect, the driver will be reinstalled, which in the end is likely to help fix the problem with the unrecognized network.
